Radiohead’s announcement of its first Australian tour in 15 years has sent several of the band’s classic albums climbing the UK charts, as fans revisit some of the group’s most celebrated records.
The English rock band announced earlier this month that it will play more than a dozen shows across Australia next year, including multiple dates in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, before heading to Japan. No other 2027 dates have been announced.
Although the band has no UK shows planned, the tour announcement has prompted renewed interest among British fans, with several Radiohead releases returning to sales charts.
OK Computer and In Rainbows climb
OK Computer, originally released almost three decades ago, has re-entered the Official Vinyl Albums chart at No. 38, making it one of the UK’s 40 best-selling vinyl albums this week.
In Rainbows has also moved higher, climbing to No. 34 from No. 39 in the previous chart week.
The two albums are also performing strongly on the broader Official Albums Sales chart. OK Computer sits at No. 49, while In Rainbows is at No. 53.
The Bends returns to the sales chart
Radiohead’s 1995 album The Bends has also re-entered the Official Albums Sales chart at No. 85.
The chart combines digital and physical purchases across all musical genres and formats. The Bends is also climbing on the Official Physical Albums chart, rising from No. 99 to No. 87.
Meanwhile, OK Computer has climbed to No. 48 on the physical albums chart, while In Rainbows has risen 10 places to No. 49.
‘Creep’ gets another boost
The renewed interest extends beyond the albums. Radiohead’s signature hit “Creep” has also moved up the UK Official Streaming chart.
The track rose from No. 88 to No. 80 this week, adding another sign that the band’s Australian tour announcement has sparked a fresh wave of interest in its back catalogue.
Released in 1992, “Creep” remains Radiohead’s only UK top 10 single and has continued to attract new listeners more than three decades after its release.
